Community Manager – Colombia

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our marketing team as a community manager and content curator, based at the Biz Latin Hub – Corporate office in Bogota, Colombia.

The job will entail overseeing and developing our social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), as well as taking responsibility for the translation and publication of materials on our Spanish and Portuguese sites

Requirements

  • 0 to 3 years of experience
  • Advanced English (B2+ absolute minimum), as most social media output is in English
  • Portuguese (Desirable)
  • Translation experience (English to Spanish)
  • Experience with content management platforms (e.g. WordPress)
  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (communications, journalism, marketing, etc)
  • Experience with written content production and online content management packages (Desirable)
  • Video editing, photography, graphic design skills (Desirable)
  • A proven interest in community management and proficiency using social media Comfortable translating from English to Spanish Good interpersonal skills and a strong desire to develop

Responsibilities

  • Managing BLH social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) by directly publishing onto those accounts and coordinating team members and interns in their use.
  • Helping develop materials for social media to support the Marketing team strategy.
  • Overseeing the accurate translation of articles and other materials from English to Spanish and publishing them on the BLH Spanish website.
  • Overseeing or coordinating Portuguese translations of articles and other materials and publishing them on the BLH Portuguese website.
  • Proactively engaging in research and outreach to identify marketing opportunities, such as participating in events or applying for awards.
  • Assisting with key tasks such as news monitoring.

The job is based on standard office hours, however given that the chosen candidate will be taking responsibility for social media, which runs seven days per week, they will need to be available outside of those hours if ever necessary
