Deputy Marketing Manager – Costa Rica

Job Position: Deputy Marketing Manager

Salary: CRC $750,000-$900,000 Monthly Gross

Location: San José, Costa Rica

At BLH we are looking for a deputy marketing manager who will report to the Marketing Manager and assist with the coordination of the BLH – Marketing team, which is based in both Colombia and Costa Rica.

The Deputy Marketing Manager will also coordinate projects, such as the production of reports, as well as lead on activities related to industry awards, which will involve seeking out potential awards for the company, applying for those awards, and also coordinating an awards program that the company plans to launch.

What do we need from you?

Requirements

  • Advanced English (C1)
  • Degree in marketing, social communication, journalism, public relations, or a similar/related field
  • 4 years of experience in a marketing/journalism role that entailed some seniority and/or responsibility for managing or coordinating others (this should be in addition to more junior experience)
  • Digital marketing experience, particularly organic (not paid for) marketing efforts
  • Experience with SEO, including familiarity with SEO packages and analysis
  • Experience producing Spanish language written materials (articles, reports, presentations)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized
  • Proactive attitude
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and/or Google equivalents

Desired requirements

  • Experience coordinating projects and/or events
  • Familiarity with the content management platforms, such as WordPress
  • Proficiency with social media
  • Some knowledge of Portuguese

What you will do?

  • Assisting with the coordination of the marketing team and timely meeting of its deadlines and responsibilities
  • Leading SEO-related activities, including SEO analysis, tracking the progress of published materials, and the development of a strategy
  • Coordinating projects, such as report production and publication
  • Production of Spanish-language materials, including guest posts, reports, and presentations
  • Proactive engagement of outreach and research in support of the marketing teams goals
  • Organizing and executing interviews with relevant subjects (industry experts, government and institutional representatives, etc) in support of BLH articles for its Q&A series
  • Seeking out and applying for relevant industry awards
  • Leading in the coordination and execution of a planned awards program
  • Other ancillary duties in support of the marketing team
