Corporate Attorney – Commercial and Labor Law

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to provide legal support and advisory services to our company and clients. The role focuses on corporate, commercial, and labor law matters, supporting client engagements and ensuring compliance with local regulations, both for our clients and for Biz Latin Hub.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and labor law matters to the company and both local and international clients.
- Incorporate and register companies in the Dominican Republic, particularly those with foreign shareholders.
- Organize and document annual general meetings for corporate entities, handling related filings and formalities before local authorities such as the Chamber of Commerce, the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII), the Ministry of Labor, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding foreign investment, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of employment contracts and commercial agreements in both English and Spanish.
- Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes that may affect the company and its clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law and licensed to practice in the Dominican Republic.
- Demonstrated written and verbal English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
- Between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate, commercial, and labor law, advising both local and international clients on doing business in the Dominican Republic.
- Proven experience incorporating companies in the Dominican Republic, particularly those with foreign shareholders.
- Experience supporting the organization and documentation of annual general meetings for corporate entities, as well as handling related filings and formalities before local authorities such as the Chamber of Commerce, the DGII, the Ministry of Labor, and other regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge of foreign investment regulations, corporate governance, and compliance with local regulations.
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of employment contracts and commercial agreements and legal documents in both English and Spanish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Practical experience with labor law compliance, employee onboarding, and employment contract management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive attitude, client-service orientation, and ability to work collaboratively with multicultural teams.
- Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills.
