Alexander’s background is in Private Banking, having joined HSBC through its fast-track Global Graduate Training Program. During his spell with the group he spent time in Mexico, Switzerland, UK, Guernsey, Jersey and Paris. His five years in the private bank offered him exposure to a wide range of fields, including relationship management, portfolio and risk management, audit and operational risk. He is British, bilingual French-English, with a fluency in both Spanish and Russian. Alexander holds an MA in Russian and French from Wadham College, Oxford University. He currently resides in Mexico City, Mexico.
Maricela graduated from Hipócrates University in Acapulco with a degree in Business Administration. She also holds a diploma in Project Management. She has worked in both the financial and telecommunications sectors, and has experience in coordinating, administration and personnel management, as well as customer service. Iván is a public accountant who graduated from UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), specialising in tax. His professional experience covers both tax and accounting, including 10 years working for Grupo Celanese S de RL de CV, which he joined in 2006 as an intern in the tax team. He then worked his way up as an accountant in the treasury team, dealing with banking reconciliations, electronic payments, cash flow reports, FX trading and overnight investments of cash in money-market instruments. His skill and experience earned him a promotion to senior tax accountant. His responsibilities included completing annual tax declarations, calculating tax credits, completing tax reconciliations and filing the company tax opinion with local authorities. He is familiar with all the standard accounting packages such as SAP, CONTPAQ, COI. Iván is Mexican, speaks English fluently and resides in Mexico City, Mexico.
GUSTAVO ALONSO MACÍAS CERÓN
Gustavo is an undergraduate accounting student who is in his final semester at IPN (Instituto Politecnico Nacional). He completed his social service at BANCOMEXT (Banco de Comercio Exterior) from October 2015 to May 2016, in the financial area, as a price-system assistant. His responsibilities included updating the rates for TIIE, LIBOR and Yield rates, downloading INTRAMEDIA Control Table Operations and uploading them onto the Control Database. His professional experience includes 4 months working for Gameplanet S.A. de C.V., which he joined in November 2014 as a junior accountant, dealing with electronic payments and cash flow reports, as well as other accounting services. Gustavo is Mexican, he speaks English fluently and resides in Mexico City, Mexico.
SANDRA ESMERALDA PÉREZ AGUILAR
Esmeralda is an undergraduate accounting student who is in her final semester at IPN (Instituto Politecnico Nacional). She completed her social service at AMCP (Asociacion Mexicana de Contadores Publicos, Colegio Profesional en el Distrito Federal, A.C), in the field of accounting. Her professional experience includes two and a half years with GCV Asesores Profesionales, S.C., which she joined in October 2014 as a junior accountant. During this time her work included completing monthly and annual tax returns, reconciliation of bank accounts, payroll processing, cash flow reports and various SAT related operations and activities using the CONTPAQi system. Esmeralda is Mexican and resides in Mexico City, Mexico.

Rocío is a lawyer from UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) She has extensive experience in international trade and customs matters. She has worked in both public and private sectors, including a position at the General Administration for Foreign Trade Audit attached to the Tax Administration Service, and a law firm specialized in consultancy and litigation in tax and customs matters. In these positions she provided advice in regards to trade operations, customs regulations, tariff classification and international treaties. Renata graduated from La Salle University Law School, and holds a diploma in Corporate Law from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). She has extensive experience in the mining industry, combining the experience on both private and public sector, including the General Bureau of Mines at the Mexican Ministry of Economy, one of the biggest worldwide gold mining companies and specialized law firms in corporate and mining matters. She has experience in providing legal advice in for the preparation of studies of mining concessions, incorporation and registration of mining companies and agreements relating to the mining industry, including land access. Renata is Mexican, she speaks English fluently and resides in Mexico City, Mexico.
Vladimir is studying modern languages at Bristol University (UK). He is bilingual French/English, and his aim is to be fluent in Russian, Spanish and German by the end of his degree in 2019. Having grown up in Paris, he is passionate about wine, spirits and their distribution. Having recently passed his WSET Level 2 (Wine and Spirit Educational Trust), he aims to coordinate business between producers and retailers in Latin America and Western countries. Through language, knowledge, and connections, Vladimir hopes to attract more Russian investors to Latin America. His mission is to intensify Biz Latin Hub’s international scope. He currently resides in Mexico City, Mexico.
Jamie graduated with a Masters degree in Diplomacy and Trade from Monash University (Australia). He is 26 years old, and has lived and worked in 5 different countries covering Australia, North America, Europe and the Middle East, spending at least one year in each location. Born from an Argentinian mother, Jamie is multilingual, fluent in English, Spanish, French and Hebrew, with basic Portuguese. Having grown up in a farm town in the Outback of Queensland Australia, he is passionate about agriculture among many other things. He has worked in fields ranging from managing microbreweries to famous tourist destinations. His mission is to bring together people from different cultures and backgrounds to help strengthen the relationship between Australia and Latin America.
