Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage and oversee financial and accounting operations in Chile, while supporting regional reporting and coordination across South America. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and effective collaboration with outsourced providers, while contributing to financial planning, control, and audit processes.

The position plays a key role in managing accounting processes for multiple legal entities, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and overseeing transactional finance operations such as payroll, procure-to-pay, and contract-to-cash processes. The role will also support the transition to NetSuite planned for 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial and accounting operations for entities in Chile.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial reporting in coordination with outsourced providers.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements.
• Support monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, inventory, and deferred revenue.
• Manage revenue contracts, invoicing schedules, and billing completeness according to contractual terms.
• Oversee key transactional finance processes, including payroll, procure-to-pay, and contract-to-cash.
• Monitor and manage outsourced service providers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Support intercompany billing and reconciliation processes.
• Review accounts receivable aging and follow up on escalated overdue balances.
• Provide documentation and support during external audits and address audit queries.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support foreign currency, taxation, and transfer pricing matters in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of local tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with outsourced accounting and payroll providers.
• Solid experience in balance sheet reconciliations and financial close processes.
Advanced level of English (written and spoken) is required.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors.
