Our client, a mission-driven international NGO, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee and strengthen the financial management of its operations in Peru. This role will ensure financial accuracy, compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, and effective financial planning to support impactful healthcare programs.

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Program Director in Peru and work closely with both local colleagues and the global finance team at headquarters.

 Location: Lima, Peru (remote role with regular in-person meetings and occasional field visits)

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare financial analyses, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, internal policies, and accounting standards (GAAP).
  • Monitor cash flow and support strategic financial decision-making.

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Manage monthly financial closing and bank reconciliations.

Budgeting & Planning

  • Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of project budgets and donor funding.
  • Support financial planning for new funding opportunities.

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure financial records are audit-ready.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions based on audit findings.

Banking & Asset Management

  • Oversee cash management and maintain relationships with banking partners.
  • Ensure proper tracking and management of organizational assets.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Experience working with international NGOs or donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong expertise in financial management, accounting, and budgeting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience with accounting systems or fund accounting software.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English (Mandatory).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
