Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at Biz Latin Hub, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various financial functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your expertise will extend across supervision of accounting, finance, tax, treasury, payroll, and accounts payable reporting. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of junior accountants and payroll specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

What will you do in this role?

Financial Oversight

• Supervise the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Conduct regular financial analyses to identify trends and provide insights.

Tax and Treasury Management

• Manage tax planning and compliance activities.
• Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management and forecasting.

Payroll and Accounts Payable

• Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee accounts payable processes and vendor management.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and payroll specialists.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
