About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team in Argentina. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and payroll, who can take full ownership of client portfolios and lead end-to-end accounting processes.

You will act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service delivery, while also providing technical guidance to internal teams and supporting continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee monthly accounting closings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Review and approve financial statements and management reports
  • Supervise accounting and bank reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are properly resolved
  • Oversee payroll processes and ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations
  • Review and approve tax filings before AFIP, AGIP, and ARBA
  • Manage and oversee filings and procedures with public authorities and notary offices
  • Ensure correct application of inflation adjustment procedures in accordance with local regulations
  • Provide advanced accounting and tax analysis, offering guidance and insights to clients
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing complex inquiries and providing advisory support
  • Lead, mentor, and review the work of junior and semi-senior team members
  • Ensure compliance with Argentine accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within an accounting firm environment
  • Strong experience leading monthly closings, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Advanced knowledge of Argentine tax regulations and compliance processes
  • Proven experience reviewing and approving tax filings (AFIP, AGIP, ARBA)
  • Strong experience overseeing payroll processes
  • Deep understanding of inflation adjustment procedures
  • Proven experience supervising and mentoring accounting teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and complex engagements simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with S.A.S. entities
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Holistor Sueldos Web)
  • Background in managing complex or multinational client structures
  • Strong interest in staying up to date with regulatory and technical changes
  • Experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
