Position: Junior Accountant

Location: Montevideo, Uruguay

Type of contract: Service Contract

Gross Salary: UYU $60,000.00-70,000

Biz Latin is looking for a Junior Accountant for our office in Uruguay!

We are the leading provider of legal, accounting and recruitment services in Latin America, with offices in all key markets in the region.

Due to our growth in the region, we are looking for a junior accountant to perform the day-to-day operations of our clients. The candidate should have experience in the Uruguayan tax and fiscal regime and have extensive experience in payroll management.

You will be working hand in hand with the Country Manager and Country Coordinator of the country to give attention to a portfolio of international clients that we have active in the country.

What do we need from you?

Technical skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Registered accountant
• Minimum 2 years of professional work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong intermediate to advanced English.
• Knowledge and experience in payroll processing.
• Knowledge of tax liquidation and tax area.
• Experience or knowledge in treasury: payment and collection management.
• Presentation of Financial Statements and handling of accounting software.

Soft skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Proactive, analytical and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of services to the client
• Accounting services
• Preparation and filing of local taxes
• Payroll and payment calculations
• Preparation and signing of financial statements
• Analysis of taxation of salaries, employee benefits, etc.
• Tax analysis of corporate operations
• Management of bank accounts
• Accounting of the local company
• Handling of various formalities before public entities
• Other tasks as required.
