Accountant

About the Role
We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Mexico. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional with solid experience in accounting and tax compliance. You will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial records, and contribute to delivering high-quality services to clients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting (e.g., Athos, ITS, Cash Flow)
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in line with deadlines and quality standards
• Prepare and maintain accounting records, including financial statements and related reports
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual tax filings
• Coordinate with external parties (e.g., translators, notaries) for procedures with RNIE, IMSS, SAT, etc.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Record and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records
• Support payroll processing and calculation of related taxes (ISN, IMSS, Infonavit)
• Prepare and submit tax returns to SAT (monthly and annual)
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and high-quality client service
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism in all tasks
• Communicate accounting information clearly and effectively

Requirements

• Spanish (Native) and English (Basic)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• Relevant experience in accounting and tax compliance (5 years)
• Knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations
• Experience preparing financial records and supporting tax filings
• Familiarity with payroll processes and related taxes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting systems and financial tools
• Exposure to working with multiple clients or in a professional services environment
• Basic knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
